Our Sales Engineering organization is seeking a proven technical leader to join the Field CTO Office to manage its world class team of data platform and security architects.

In this role, you will work with sales, channel partners, and product management to digest customer requirements and, in turn, articulate the unique value Snowflake’s Cloud Data Platform brings to various highly-specialized workloads, including: Platform (Data Engineering), Foundational (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Advanced Analytics), and Emerging workloads (Data Science, Data Applications, Data Exchange).

Snowflake's data platform and security architecture team is instrumental in driving customer outcomes, platform innovation, and service growth across a broad set of global customers. You will be responsible for helping the team maintain its edge, promoting best practices, provide resolution guidance, and enabling the team to collaborate to create and present value-driven architectures of widely varying size and complexity. 

• Lead a global team of brilliant, customer-obsessed professionals  
• Grow the elite group within Snowflake that provides industry and deep subject-matter expertise in the areas of: data warehouse modernization, data engineering, data lake, data science, data applications, data sharing, and cloud security 
• Drive thought leadership and value creation by leading select customer engagements and interactions at the executive and senior architect levels
• Build relationships with strategic partners and internal leadership across sales, sales engineering, and professional services to drive successful customer outcomes     
• Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with customers, channel partners and our field teams to deliver winning solutions 
• Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with product and engineering to continue to influence competitive differentiation across the platform
• Guide and motivate the development of a Center of Excellence for the creation of white-papers, reference architectures, blueprints, solution briefs, and other high-value customer-facing and internal stakeholder-facing guidance and best practices to drive and support enablement and thought leadership

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 12+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales, technology consulting, or outbound product management capacity with 5+ years of direct line management experience (hiring, training and retaining top talent)
• Industry expertise within Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and/or Cloud Computing
• Experience selling enterprise SaaS software
• Strong technical knowledge within Databases, Data Warehousing, ETL, and Analytics; SQL and scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, etc.) preferred
• Outstanding and effective presentation skills to both internal and external technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred
