The Operations Specialist ensures smooth operations in the field, provides ongoing coaching and problem solving with the flex ride drivers, and is accessible for emergency back-up and accident response. The Operations Specialist is responsible for emptying cash boxes, and conducting field inspections on a regular basis. This role will also complete investigations into passenger complaints and accidents and complete the needed accident reports. The Operations Specialist will also provide information to the public regarding transit operations and must understand and possess the ability to operate all Flex Ride routes and functions and serve as a backup driver as needed.
The starting pay rate is $23.89/hour
We have 1 full-time opportunity. The schedule is Friday-Monday 3:30 am- 1:30 pm
Qualifications for Operations Specialist:
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- High School Diploma/GED
- Possess a Driver’s License that has been valid for at least the past two (2) years
- Driving experience with public transportation strongly preferred
- Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices and procedures
- Must pass and maintain DOT physical, random drug testing, and ongoing Motor Vehicle Records checks.
- Meets all of the hiring criteria as outlined by Via and RTD
- Other duties as assigned
