Job Description
The BAE Systems Site is seeking a Quality Manager to support the Paladin program.
In this role as a Quality Manager, you will manage the Quality team supporting this product line across three production sites by assigning work, setting priorities and work schedules, evaluating employee performance, providing feedback, and supporting career development. This position will sit at one of the three production sites. As the Quality Manager, you'll promote cross-functional collaboration, develop and grow customer relationships, support the proposal process, and serve as a trusted business partner. You'll apply quality-related data and concepts to drive continuous improvement, present recommendations to management and customers, and influence decision making and process execution.
  • Develop long term and strategic approaches, anticipate and resolve problems, and ensure inter-group cooperation to meet all program obligations and objectives
  • Interface with customers on all product line quality issues
  • Support Risk and Opportunity management activities
  • Support program initiation and capture activities
  • Lead the Operations Quality planning activities
  • Develop and execute a manufacturing quality execution plan, including stakeholder analysis, budgets, schedules, and resources necessary to achieve program goals
  • Plan and manage cross functional (direct and indirect) resources ensuring all project obligations and objectives are met
  • Document lessons learned
  • Support BAE Systems' Lifecycle Management (LCM) implementation
  • Ensure program documentation is of acceptable quality and completeness
  • Participating in LCM reviews as an Assessor or Chairperson
  • Actively promote a culture of safety, health, and personal well-being for self, employees, and the program team
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to ethics, export control, proprietary information, document/record retention, public communication, etc.
  • Support hiring, training, evaluating, mentoring, and disciplining employees
  • Develop employees and share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM related studies with ten (10) years' experience, or the overall equivalent experience &/or education in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering in a production environment and/or assembly;
  • Leadership experience;
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, APQP methodologies, and process control;
  • Proficient in structured problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis;
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and effective stakeholder management;
  • Analytical ability to analyze data and identify trends for process improvement;
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects;
  • Training and coaching skills to develop and enhance the capabilities of the team

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Certification in a relevant quality management system (e.g., ISO9001) is preferred;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry and government quality standards, regulations, and best practices.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $110160 - $187272
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
