What You’ll Do:
We are looking for an Operations Manager who will work with cross-functional teams to support new assay launches and process improvement projects across our clinical testing business.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with leaders across a variety of disciplines (Clinical Lab, Product, Operations, Customer Success, Marketing) to implement new product features and execute assay launches
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to scope and build requirements, prioritize software enhancements in support of internal operations and test delivery, while keeping in mind short-term gain and long-term scalability
- Act as a subject matter expert on operational implementation of new assays and enhancements to the existing suite of Tempus Genomic tests
- Identify and respond to project issues and risks; own and provide expedient follow through to action or resolution and communicate appropriately
- Report project statuses, quality metrics, and general feedback to team leadership
- Propose and build new workflows to solve problems and support operational needs
- Own stakeholder communication, expectations management, timelines, and the end-to-end project plan for a variety of projects with minimal supervision
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience with prior project or account management responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience working as part of a larger team to drive initiatives at scale
- Experience working with product/engineering teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; flexible and resilient with the ability to execute changing business priorities
- Ability to prioritize and maintain multiple projects at the same time
- Driven to identify problems as they arise and manage solutions
- Ability to tailor communication based on the needs of cross-functional teams and business leaders
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning and integrating new forms of technology with a steep ramp-up period
Illinois Pay Range
$80,000 - $120,000 USD
The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
