About Presence

Presence is the leading provider of teletherapy solutions for children with diverse needs. Through our award-winning technology, Presence connects speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and mental health specialists to schools, districts, and organizations nationwide. Our growing network of 2,000+ clinicians has delivered over 7 million teletherapy sessions to K-12 students.

We are a remote-first, distributed workforce of 200+ corporate employees, headquartered in New York. We place a high value on “cameras on” engagement, schedule coordination and cross-functional communication to stay connected with each other when working in different places. Many roles require travel to create opportunities to engage in-person with our school partners, our clinicians, and each other.

About This Role

We’re looking for a motivated and tech-savvy Operations Intern to join our team for Summer 2025. Working closely with the operations team, you’ll play a key role in supporting our mission to deliver teletherapy solutions for children with diverse needs. This internship is perfect for someone who loves technology, thrives in collaborative environments, and is passionate about creating sustainable, big-picture solutions that make a difference. You’ll get hands-on experience in standardizing processes, refining tools, and supporting our massive community of providers – all while contributing to a mission driven organization that helps children with special needs.

What will you do during your internship at Presence?
  • Standardize Internal Operations: Assist in designing and implementing scalable systems and solutions to streamline operations, using tools like ZenDesk, ClickUp, and Google Workspace.
  • Evaluate and Improve Templates: Review existing project templates, documentation, and processes; suggest and implement improvements to boost efficiency and clarity for the team.
  • Support Our Provider Community: Help build and refine resources, communications, and systems that strengthen our network of 2,000+ clinicians, ensuring they feel connected and supported.
  • Assist with Project Coordination: Support the setup, tracking, and management of strategic projects, keeping timelines and deliverables on track.
  • Research Emerging Technology: Explore new tools and technologies that could enhance our operations and propose actionable ideas to integrate them.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with remote team members to ensure clear communication and alignment, contributing to a positive, inclusive team culture.
What we're looking for?
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program (Business Administration / Management, Supply Chain Management/ Logistics, Information Systems / Management Information Systems, Accounting / Finance) with an anticipated graduation date in 2026 or 2027.
  • Available to work up to 25 hours per week throughout the 8-week summer internship, running from June 16 to August 8.
  • Basic experience with project management or organizational tools (ClickUp, JIRA, Trello, or similar is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and an interest in operational software.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Enthusiasm for remote work and “cameras on” collaboration.
What will help you succeed here?
  • Our team is committed to shared principles of inclusivity. We engage with all stakeholders in a spirit of listening, learning, and broadening our perspectives.
  • We commit to a growth mindset. We don’t use energy to explain why something can’t be done; we figure out how to make it happen.
  • We are mission-driven. Our work helps more children with special needs receive the necessary support. We believe our work is essential, meaningful, and urgent.
  • We believe in data-driven decision-making, measuring outcomes, and iterative improvements.
Where is this position located?
  • Presence is headquartered in New York, with our clients located throughout the U.S.
  • This is a remote position based in the US.
  • All employees commit to being available on-camera for our Core Working Hours, noon to 5 pm EST M-F.
How to Apply:

Submit your resume and a brief cover letter (max 300 words) explaining why you’re excited to join Presence and how your skills align with this role.

Join us for a summer of impact, innovation, and collaboration!

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-exempt (hourly) position with a pay range of $15–$20 per hour.
