The Scaled Operations team at Airbnb helps increase supply effectiveness, utilization, and impact using people-powered operations. The Analytics function within Scaled Operations serves as a strategic thought partner to leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making through high-impact insights, robust reporting infrastructure, and scalable data solutions. We operate across a wide range of ambiguous, evolving problems with urgency, autonomy, and a commitment to driving business results.

The Difference You Will Make:

As Operations Analyst Lead, you will lead high-priority analytical initiatives that help shape Airbnb’s supply-side strategy and operational performance. You’ll work independently to design scalable data products, generate critical business insights, and solve complex challenges that inform how we support and grow our community of HostsYou’ll partner with stakeholders across Product, Policy, Support, and Strategy to translate ambiguous business questions into clear, data-driven recommendations. Your expertise in operational analytics, judgment in trade-off decisions, and ability to deliver structured, thoughtful outputs will make you a trusted contributor across multiple domains.

A Typical Day: 

  • Build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data models that drive visibility into performance and guide decision-making across supply operations.
  • Lead analytical deep dives to uncover insights that influence operational strategy, identify risks, or size new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on key metrics and implement scalable solutions to improve data integrity and reporting workflows.
  • Translate business objectives into clear problem statements and propose solutions through rigorous quantitative analysis.
  • Communicate insights through presentations, memos, and visualization tools to influence decisions at various levels of the organization.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide thought partnership across the broader analytics team.
  • Proactively identify areas for operational improvement and contribute to experimentation and policy iteration processes.
  • Participate in the evolution of Scaled Operations' analytics roadmap, contributing to the team's long-term planning and technical development.

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, business operations, or consulting, ideally in a tech-enabled or operational environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics); advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong command of SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker); working knowledge of Python or R preferred.
  • Proven ability to navigate large and complex datasets to deliver clear, actionable insights.
    Experience solving business problems using structured thinking and sophisticated analytical approaches.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics in a compelling and concise way.
  • High degree of autonomy and accountability; comfortable leading projects with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across functions.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

$154,000$192,000 USD
