The Nutrition Editor supports the execution of EatingWell’s nutrition content strategy by creating high-quality, well-researched articles and editorial programs that help grow the audience, support revenue goals and increase engagement across platforms including the website, social media and newsletters. This position reports to the Editorial Manager and works closely with editorial colleagues and cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate is passionate about nutrition and food, has a strong foundation in journalism and digital publishing and is comfortable using data and insights to inform content decisions. Experience working in a fast-paced, digital-first environment is essential.

In-office Expectations: This position is fully remote with no in-office requirements, (might require coming into an office 1 or 2x a year)
About The Positions Contributions:
Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
50% - Pitch, write and edit high-quality nutrition and meal plan content that aligns with SEO, social and email best practices and engages a broad audience. Leverage analytics and performance data to make informed content decisions and optimize for performance across platforms. Monitor competitive brands and help identify opportunities to differentiate EatingWell’s voice and content offerings. Utilize AI tools to improve day-to-day efficiency and editorial workflows.
30% - Collaborate with the Editorial Manager to plan and maintain a consistent cadence of nutrition-focused stories, galleries and meal plans. Stay up to date on current nutrition research and trends to ensure content reflects EatingWell’s science-based, inclusive approach to health and wellness. Work with medical and nutrition reviewers to ensure accuracy, inclusivity and adherence to editorial standards.
15% - Contribute to the development of special editorial packages, brand initiatives and sponsored content in partnership with internal teams including marketing and consumer revenue. Participate in team brainstorms and collaborate cross-functionally with print, design, growth and other departments.
5% - May occasionally appear as talent in video content or represent the brand on social platforms, as appropriate.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Education:
Registered Dietitian (RD) or equivalent nutrition background preferred.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience writing and editing digital nutrition content, preferably in a food or wellness media environment.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging digital content and follow brand voice and guidelines.
Passion for nutrition and cooking.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced setting.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
Strong editorial and writing skills, with the ability to interpret scientific studies and translate key findings for a general audience.
Experience working with a CMS and using content analytics to inform decisions.
% Travel Required (Approximate): 5%

Pay Range
Salary: Remote: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
