Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and penetrate targeted new-logo accounts, developing relationships and creating opportunities where HPE does not have an established customer presence.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on growing existing business while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic pursuit plans to convert identified target accounts into new customers and drive long-term revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and margin objectives.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key IT and business leaders, including C-level executives, to understand their priorities, challenges, and long-term technology strategies.
  • Apply consultative and value-based selling techniques to position networking solutions that align with customers’ business and technology needs.
  • Lead complex sales opportunities from identification through negotiation and close, coordinating internal resources throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner closely with Systems Engineers, specialists, and other HPE teams to develop and deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
  • Build and leverage relationships with channel partners and other external partners to expand customer reach and advance sales opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to grow HPE’s networking footprint across wireless, routing, security, and related solutions.
  • Maintain accurate account forecasts, pipeline activity, and opportunity information, ensuring sales activity is updated regularly.
  • Monitor customer, industry, and competitive trends to identify new opportunities and support strategic customer conversations.
  • Advocate for customer needs internally and coordinate resources to address business, solution, or delivery challenges.
  • Protect and grow existing customer relationships while proactively developing whitespace and net-new business within the assigned territory.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of outside sales experience, including experience managing enterprise customer relationships and complex sales opportunities.
  • Experience selling networking or related technology solutions, with knowledge of wireless networking, routing, and security.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing existing accounts while developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience owning a sales quota and managing opportunities throughout the end-to-end sales cycle.
  • Experience building relationships with senior IT and business leaders, including C-level executives.
  • Experience working with channel partners, resellers, or other external partners to develop and advance customer opportunities.
  • Must reside within the Massachusetts or Maine territory and be able to travel approximately 50%, locally for customer and partner meetings as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and solutions, including wireless networking, routing, and security.
  • Ability to understand customer business and technology challenges and translate them into relevant solution opportunities.
  • Consultative and value-based selling skills with the ability to manage complex, end-to-end enterprise sales cycles.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior IT and business leaders, including C-level executives.
  • Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to articulate solution value and navigate pricing and procurement discussions.
  • Ability to develop strategic account plans, identify whitespace, build pipeline, and drive both new business and growth within existing accounts.
  • Experience effectively engaging and leveraging channel partners, resellers, and internal technical resources to advance opportunities.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer industries, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
