The Training Specialist, Central Clinical Operations is responsible for building and leading a scalable, network-wide clinical research training and onboarding infrastructure across Adams Clinical sites. This role serves as the central owner of training consistency, ensuring staff have the knowledge, resources, and demonstrated competencies required to execute high-quality, compliant clinical research.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Central Clinical Operations, this position combines hands-on training delivery, curriculum development, learning platform management, and process improvement to create scalable training solutions that support staff excellence, operational consistency, and successful study execution across the network.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Curriculum & LMS Development

  • Design and develop Learning Management System (LMS) modules for standardized training and onboarding across the network
  • Develop assessments and evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness and comprehension by clinical operations staff and support role-specific readiness and ongoing professional development across clinical operations teams
  • Create training materials and documentation (SOPs, checklists, guides, videos) with meticulous attention to clarity and usability
  • Lead adoption of new training and operational platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Trainual, and others), including hands-on development of platform workflows and content
  • Develop and implement systems to track training completion, competency milestones, and ongoing education requirements across clinical operations teams
  • Aid in the development of standardized onboarding tools for ClinOps roles, including onboarding trackers, role-specific training pathways, competency checklists, and 30/60/90-day development plans to support successful employee integration across clinical operations teams
  • Continuously evaluate onboarding effectiveness and improve processes based on feedback, performance trends, and operational needs

Site Training Delivery

  • Assess and document site-specific onboarding processes, clinical workflows, and training requirements across Adams Clinical locations. Develop a standardized onboarding framework that promotes consistency, operational excellence, and role readiness across the network
  • Coordinate training delivery across sites in collaboration with Site Managers and site operations by identifying required audiences, managing training schedules, tracking completion, and ensuring effective implementation of learning initiatives
  • Drive development of comprehensive trainings and re-trainings across the clinical operations network, ensuring consistency and adherence to regulatory and company standards
  • Conduct group re-trainings in person at Adams Clinical sites, with willingness to travel as needed to support site-specific learning needs
  • Partner with Site Managers and site operations to assess operational workflows, identify emerging knowledge gaps or training needs, and provide targeted education and support in response to performance trends, compliance findings, process changes, and evolving study requirements
  • Partner with site leadership to establish clear ownership of training responsibilities (e.g., central vs. site staff) while maintaining standardized expectations, materials, and competency requirements across the network

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with site teams and department heads to identify training gaps and opportunities for onboarding process improvement
  • Work with department heads across the network to ensure training requirements are being followed, and staff competency is maintained
  • Collaborate with VP of Clinical Operations to align training initiatives with network-wide operational priorities and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in industry-sponsored clinical trials
  • Experience or involvement in onboarding or training clinical research staff within a site or clinical research environment required
  • Basic understanding of clinical trial regulations (FDA, GCP, informed consent, SUSAR reporting, etc.) required
  • Willingness to travel to Adams Clinical sites as needed, with flexibility on primary work location contingent on candidate location and onboarding needs
