Network Ops Infrastructure Engineer (Belmont CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX)

About this role:
Our Cloud Operations and Network teams are responsible for maintaining and building out our production Data Center networks for our applications (Video, Voice, Messaging, Contact Center, Webinars) across the globe. This role is a high visibility role in which you will be part of our team maintaining the very high availability of our networks (99.999%). This is a hybrid employee role that can be based in our Belmont CA, Denver CO, or Dallas TX offices.
Responsibilities:

  • Providing 99,999% availability in production Data Center networks for RingCentral applications (Video, Voice, Messaging) across the globe.
  • Continuously improving and extending network technologies in existing DCs.
  • Building out networks in new DCs.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing issues together with infrastructure and application teams. Support Lab/Stage/Regression environments.
  • Responsible for design, overall view and approach.
  • Participation in on-call rotation.


Required Skills:

  • ISP, ENT, DC.
  • Juniper family experience (MX,SRX, EX,QFX platforms).
  • STP, RSTP, RTG. VRRP.
  • Link aggregation.
  • OSPF, iBGP, eBGP, FBF/PBR, VRF/routing instances.
  • GRE, IPIP, IPSec.
  • TCP/IP.
  • DHCP, DNS, TACACS.
  • Firewalls (iptables, firewalld, vendor based solutions from Cisco, Juniper, etc).
  • Linux familiarity (experienced user level).
  • Understanding of server infrastructure side (baremetal, virtualization with hypervisor, containers).
  • Experience in both green/brown field deployments.
  • Upper Intermediate English


Good to have:

  • EVPN/VXLAN. MC-LAG. ECMP. MPLS.
  • Understanding of High Availability approaches, clusterization.
  • Load Balancing (A10, F5, IPVS).
  • Using Bash/Python for automation. Netconf, PyEZ, Ansible.
  • Networking in public clouds (AWS, GCP, IBM, Oracle, Azure).

RingCentral is headquartered in Belmont, California, and has offices around the world. If you are hired in Belmont, the compensation range for this position is between $100,000 and $144,000. If you are hired in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $85,000 and $122,000.
