Position Description
Zayo is seeking a Network Expense Manager to oversee a team of analysts who manage the end-to-end life cycle of network expense costs. The life cycle includes invoice receipt, validation, disputes, and approval for the accounts payable team to make the payment. Our ideal Network Expense Manager can remain positive during stressful situations and changes in processes.
*This is an entry level manager role. Candidates with experience leading small teams or projects are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Support the analyst team with questions and decision-making on vendor cost issues.
- Responsible for coordinating with other teams on projects such as cost savings, vendor relations, and inventory
- Main point of contact and escalation point on internal and external issues.
- Ensure analysts are processing invoices for our vendors on time.
- Support the team in reconciling their accounts.
- Work with vendors to reconcile disputes filed by the team.
- Reporting metrics on the team's activity.
- Financial support and analysis of special projects and ad-hoc requests
- Ability to understand and interpret Interconnection Agreements, Tariff documents, and contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 5 (five) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- AP Transactional Function and Accounting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com and TEOCO (telecom expense management system), preferred.
Base pay range: $81,200 - $85,000, commensurate with experience.
