Job Summary

Responsible for network site planning, equipment deployment planning, deployment managing and basic design of network instances. Completes network deployment, manages contract teams in deployment, provisions and supports, wireless, Ethernet transport regional network serving CTS SB&A customers. Responds to network incidents, determines resources needed for correction and corrects or leads team involved in resolving incident. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Must Have Skills:

  • Layer 2 - vlans, trunking, mlag
  • Protocols  - routing (BGP), PIM (multicast)
  • IP subnetting - v4/v6 knowledge
  • Identify and understand network design requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with senior engineers on the design and build of core routing and application architectures throughout data center footprint
  • Perform sustained network engineering duties to support data center services for CTS SB&A products
  • Create and document all high-level and detailed network designs
  • Monitor network capacity, plan and implement data center augments as needed in conjunction with data center network engineering teams
  • Act as liaison with data center network engineering teams in all design, build, deployment, and troubleshooting activities as representative of CTS SB&A Broadcast Engineering team
  • Participate in the development and planning for future hardware and software versions relative to data center network elements.
  • Assist in efforts to automate internal processes and tools for departmental engineering tasks
  • Take ownership in escalating design concerns and work with senior engineers and management to address the concerns.
  • Support a flexible schedule to work overnight maintenance windows
  • Participate in assigned interdepartmental technical projects
  • Provide On-Call support, with focus on providing expedited design service and issue resolution for the customer
  • Build relationships with systems and application teams through regular communication
  • Communicate applicable design guidelines and provide guidance to system and application teams to ensure compliance
  • Support the Security Architecture and Engineering teams with vulnerability assessments and remediation’s.
  • Act as owner and SME for all external circuit connectivity supporting CTS SB&A product and service needs

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: $89,076.03 - $133,614.04

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Certifications (if applicable)

CCNA/CCNP preferred, or similar - CCNA/CCNP
