About the Role

In this role, you'll work as a hands-on network engineer supporting enterprise and data center network infrastructure in a production environment. You'll be responsible for executing day-to-day network operations, including network moves, adds, and changes (MAC), deployments, migrations, maintenance, lifecycle activities, upgrades, troubleshooting, and change implementation.

You'll work within established engineering and operational standards, maintain accurate documentation, support successful network cutovers and transitions, and help ensure reliable operation of critical network services. This role calls for someone who can independently execute assigned networking work items with minimal oversight while collaborating closely with engineering teams and escalating design, access, or technical blockers when appropriate.

What You'll Do
  • Support day-to-day network engineering and operations across enterprise, data center, and lab network environments.
  • Execute Network Move, Add, and Change (MAC) requests and other operational networking work items.
  • Perform network deployments, migrations, configuration changes, and infrastructure transitions.
  • Support network maintenance, lifecycle refreshes, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across Layer 2 and Layer 3 environments and identify appropriate resolutions.
  • Execute planned network changes and cutovers while following established change management and operational procedures.
  • Support monitoring, operational transition, and post-change validation activities.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, network configurations, procedures, and operational records.
  • Follow standardized network deployment, maintenance, and operational processes.
  • Identify and escalate technical, access, design, or implementation blockers in a timely manner.
  • Work independently to complete assigned work items with minimal day-to-day oversight.
  • Collaborate remotely with network engineers and other technical stakeholders to coordinate implementations and resolve operational issues.
  • Support reliable network operations while helping engineering teams maintain capacity for strategic projects and new service onboarding.
What You'll Bring
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in network engineering.
  • 5 or more years of experience with enterprise Layer 2/Layer 3 network engineering.
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting network platform operations.
  • 5 or more years of experience executing network changes in production environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale, data center, or similarly complex network environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting network infrastructure and resolving operational issues.
  • Experience performing network maintenance, upgrades, migrations, or infrastructure changes.
  • Ability to independently execute assigned network engineering work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience following established network deployment, change management, and operational procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or data center network environments.
  • Experience working with lab network infrastructure and associated operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing MAC requests, network deployments, migrations, and cutovers.
  • Experience with network lifecycle management, infrastructure refreshes, and upgrades.
  • Experience supporting production network environments where reliability and change success are critical.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across complex networking environments.
  • Experience with network monitoring, operational transition, and post-change validation.
  • Experience creating and maintaining detailed network documentation and operational procedures.
  • Familiarity with highly standardized enterprise network engineering environments and processes.
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on existing network architectures, tools, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, meet planned deliverables, and escalate blockers proactively.
