Job Overview

The Core Network Engineer supports our customer’s global enterprise networks.  Network Architecture provides solutions for modernizing the network components while supporting service delivery for customer requirements in a mission-focused operational enterprise.  Additionally, the candidate must have experience with hands-on router engineering and/or/operation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for the MPLS WAN overall architecture.
  • Developing MPLS WAN services solutions.
  • Performs lab equipment evaluation, integration, and testing.
  • Assists with the security accreditation process.
  • Develops and maintains relevant technical documentation.
  • Also responsible for supporting Tier-4 production troubleshooting and developing proactive network analysis solutions for the operations team on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Currently active TS/SCI security clearance issued by a U.S. Government Entity
  • U.S. Government Adjudicated Full-Scope or Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Minimum of 16 years of Network Design/Engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work, and communicate, with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
