- Lead network and cybersecurity assessments to identify gaps, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
- Translate client requirements and regulatory needs into actionable strategies and technical solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through design options, mitigation strategies, and implementing best practices.
- Prepare reports, risk analyses, and recommendations tailored to each client's operational and compliance needs.
- Deliver workshops and presentations to educate stakeholders on network architecture and cybersecurity principles.
- Advise on network readiness for IoT and smart building device connectivity, including bandwidth planning, device segmentation, and lifecycle management.
- Design secure, scalable, and resilient wired and wireless network infrastructures.
- Develop cybersecurity designs including segmentation, access control, encryption, and monitoring strategies.
- Collaborate with client IT, OT, and building systems teams to ensure integration of physical and logical networks.
- Support secure onboarding of smart building systems and IoT endpoints, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT and OT security policies.
- Support policy development for secure device management, patching, and incident response.
- Review and validate designs to ensure alignment with standards such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and HIPAA.
- Perform field validation and testing of installed network and security components.
- Work alongside technology consultants, integrators, and commissioning agents to coordinate design and implementation timelines.
- Support procurement by developing specifications and reviewing vendor submittals.
- Coordinate integration requirements and support network readiness for connected devices such as sensors, controllers, and edge gateways.
- Monitor progress of cybersecurity-related activities throughout design, construction, and occupancy phases.
- Assist in post-occupancy reviews and support planning for continuous improvement.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or related field required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity consulting required.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and assessing networks for healthcare, education, commercial, or lab environments.
- Working knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and threat detection technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, IEC 62443, NFPA 110, HITRUST).
- Experience supporting the secure integration of IoT or smart building technologies is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, vulnerability scanners, and network modeling software.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
