KBR is seeking a Network Administrator SME to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. Active TS/SCI clearance required.

The Network Administrator SME provides support at the Wideband C-SSE in Colorado Springs, CO providing site guidance and leading troubleshooting actions for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, WSOMS, RMCE LAN, and WAN issues. Network support requirements reside in Colorado Springs and at geographically dispersed contract locations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the effort to evaluate local network equipment and capabilities, monitor performance of LANs and identify anomalies or discrepancies that appear in network availability, capacity, or Quality of Service (QoS) metrics. 

  • Provides guidance to site personnel and leads troubleshooting NIPRNET, SIPRNET, WSOMS< RMCE LAN and/or WAN issues.

  • Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including E-Mail, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like, and configure systems to user environments.

  • Evaluates and reports system security incidents, virus attacks, classified message incidents, and identify threats, vulnerabilities, and associated countermeasures using the policies, procedures and report formats per compliance requirements.

  • Track and dispose of unclassified IS storage media previously contaminated with classified data as classified media.

  • Provide assistance in all aspects of network management, from network design through implementation, to the maintenance of upgrading existing networks.

  • Ensures configuration for firewalls, switches, routers, and domain controllers are configured correctly and documented through CM.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

  • Requires DoD 8140 (DoD 8570) Cybersecurity certification. 

  • Certified in Networking (Cisco, Juniper, Network+) and Security+ DAF Cyberspace Workforce Management Program.

  • Meet personnel security and training requirements for duties as required by DAFMAN 17- 1303, DAF Cyberspace Workforce Management Program. 

Citizenship and Clearance:

  • US Citizen.

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI is required.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Analyzing local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges and other devices. 

  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently and in high pressure situations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise with network administration. 

  • Experience with NIPRNET, SIPRNET, WSOMS, RMCE/WAN is highly desired

  • Solid understanding of satellite communications (SATCOM)/telecommunications.

SCHEDULED WEEKLY HOURS:

  • Normal hours of operation (0730–1630 hours).

  • 40 hours, 5 days a week.

  • Provides on-call support 24/7.

TRAVEL:

  • May require travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations, expect approximately 5%.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Basic Compensation:

$105,100- $131,300

This range is for the CO area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.

 

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
