About the Role:OLAPLEX is looking for a NetSuite Engineer who will be a technical subject matter expert to support and monitor key operational aspects of NetSuite. As a NetSuite Engineer, you will translate high-level business goals into automated, scalable solutions that streamline our global financial and operational workflows.
You will work with internal stakeholders and outsourced partners to implement the roadmap and develop solutions for recurring software maintenance, enhancements, customizations, and ongoing support.
Responsibilities:
- In partnership with internal NetSuite team members and key leadership stakeholders, develop, maintain, enhance, and maximize NetSuite capabilities in support of the business
- Troubleshoot issues with our eCommerce/ERP/EDI/3PL environments and work collaboratively to prepare our system for customer launches, financial tracking, and automation
- Work cross-functionally on roadmap projects involving Finance, Accounting and Supply Chain applications
- Develop, test, and deploy customizations, custom objects, and new functionality based on evolving business needs
- Ensure proper change management processes that meet SOX and SoD requirements and maintain data integrity
- Configure NetSuite to align to company use of forms, field, and customer records to manage unique business process requirements
- Ensure business and functional requirements are properly configured in NetSuite and other IT enterprise applications
- Create and execute a test plan and tests in Sandbox to be utilized prior to upgrades, ensuring all functionality works as expected and without interruption
- Assist with data analysis, reporting needs, continuous improvement initiatives, change management and support for optimal usage within NetSuite
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and documentation of NetSuite functionality, customizations and integrations, and proactively identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements
- 4+ years of experience as a NetSuite Engineer with JavaScript focus
- Experience working at a public company with an understanding of SOX and SoD compliance best practices
- Strong understanding of NetSuite functionality and features; Oneworld, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Advanced Manufacturing and Advanced Billing modules
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities and manage conflicting priorities
- Strong experience with NetSuite SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF)
- Hands-on experience with Javascript, SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.0/2.1
- Experience creating enterprise integrations via SuiteTalk, REST APIs, SOAP and EDI between NetSuite and external systems such as 3PLs, Shopify, Bill.com and others
- Experience using Github and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Agile SCRUM framework
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts such as classes, inheritance etc
- Practical knowledge of integrating LLMs (e.g., Claude or Gemini) into ERP workflows via REST web services or NetSuite’s AI Connector
- Strong understanding of NetSuite model and functionality including creating custom records, custom fields, saved searches, and creating/modifying workflows
- Thorough business analysis knowledge including the ability to use flow diagrams, state charts, business cases, and other analysis/design tools
- For New York Metro candidates, ability and willingness to work a hybrid schedule

Our Total Rewards:The annual base pay for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
