Opportunity (Part-Time): Naval Surface and Sub-Surface Unmanned Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) Operations & Policy Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Bottom Line Up Front:
Hoplite Group is seeking unmanned ISR operations & policy SME to support a U.S. Government Institutional Capacity Building initiative focused on developing policies, operating concepts, and integration strategies for unmanned surface and subsurface naval ISR systems. The SME will contribute through advisory support, tabletop exercises, and operational integration guidance in INDOPACOM.

Location: Remote support (CONUS), with periodic OCONUS travel within the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Level of Effort:
  • Non-travel months: Approximately 20–30 hours/month.
  • Engagement months: Approximately 80–100 hours/month. (First engagement anticipated during the first two weeks of November 2025.)
  • Post-Engagement: Support as needed.

Availability: Immediate
Objective:
To advise on the development of strategic documents, policies, and operational concepts for unmanned ISR capabilities. Responsibilities include guiding force development and employment, integrating conventional and special operations capabilities, conducting tabletop exercises, and providing expertise on operational issues affecting unmanned systems policy.

Required Qualifications:
  • High level of expertise in Unmanned Surface Vehicles or Unmanned Underwater Vehicles.
  • Expert-level knowledge of sensor capabilities, service interoperability, and operational integration.
  • Understanding of the use of ISR systems onboard aviation, land, and maritime platforms.
  • Experience working with allies at the operational and strategic level.
  • Experience supporting partner nation development of aviation operating concepts and follow-on plans to support successful execution of Operational Plans and Concept of Operations (CONOPS), such as development of Mission Essential Tasks, and designing flying and training programs.
  • US Secret Security Clearance Required.
