National Security Solutions (NSS) Internship - Systems Engineering Learning Coordinator

Project Overview

The purpose of the Systems Engineering Learning Coordinator is to work with the MBSE training office, our HR partners, and corporate IT to create an asynchronous learning solution that can be implemented across KBR. The Learning Coordinator will make our existing MBSE curriculum modularized for easy online learning, and work with the HR learning team to have learning paths, lessons, and quizzes posted on Workday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Coordination with the Systems Engineering Training office, HR Talent Development, and corporate IT to define project scope, timeline, and deliverables.

  • Curriculum Modularization to tailor current curriculum for asynchronous, self-paced learning.

  • Assessment Development to design quizzes and knowledge checks for each module.

  • Platform Integration to upload learning content on the corporate learning management platform.

  • Feedback & Iteration to collect feedback on content clarity, platform usability, and learning effectiveness.

Learning Outcomes & Impact

The MBSE Training Office (based out of Beavercreek, OH) has received considerable demand for years for asynchronous online Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) training, including modular training paths that managers can assign to their employees. Currently, our office only supports synchronous online or in-person training and does not have a sustainable path to support asynchronous learning. Especially in the wake of recent acquisitions and re-organizations, it is more important than ever that systems engineers across the company have access to learning resources to practice and improve their skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in: STEM Education, Communications, Supply Chain Management, or Management Information Systems.

  • Strong communication, project planning, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Double major or minor in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related would be a bonus.

  • Previous education experience would be preferred.
