DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Our department is dedicated to leading and supporting nationwide sales initiatives, focusing on growing our presence within key markets such as universities and airports. We are committed to building and maintaining strong partnerships with national contractors and strategic accounts, ensuring that we consistently deliver valuable and innovative solutions to our diverse customer base.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a National Accounts Sales Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing our sales operations across the United States and maintaining strategic partnerships with national contractors and key accounts. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase market share specifically within university and airport accounts. As a leader in this role, you will utilize your deep understanding of the industry and your sales management expertise to drive growth, maximize revenue, and reinforce our competitive market position. Reporting directly to the Director of National Sales, this highly visible role requires a motivated and results-driven individual.

This individual can reside near our corporate office in Livermore, CA or if working remotely, they must be near a major airport for travel purposes 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Utilize your experience in Sales Strategy and Execution, Account Management, Market Intelligence Team Collaboration as well as Sales Analytics and Reporting
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to meet sales targets, expand market share, and enhance customer loyalty across the United States customer base
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts, including airports, universities, transportation companies, and government organizations (GSA), to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities by engaging prospective clients, organizing meetings, and delivering presentations
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, manufacturing, operations, and marketing to deliver customer-centric solutions and effectively promote our products
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to anticipate challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities
  • Track and analyze sales data, prepare accurate forecasts, measure performance against targets, and provide regular updates and reports to senior management
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the public sector transit bus, heavy equipment manufacturing, or adjacent industries
  • Proven experience in sales management, ideally within the automotive or transportation sectors, with a strong background in account management
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective sales strategies that have resulted in revenue growth and market expansion
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong ability to forge and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and deliver positive outcomes for customers
  • Effective teamwork skills and the capability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker, adept at identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities
  • Analytical and data-driven, with the skill to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software is preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally kneel or squat
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to navigate manufacturing environment, comfortable around heavy machinery, tools, etc.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, (i.e. safety glasses, bump caps, hearing protection, etc.)
  • 50%-70% Travel required
  • Standard start time: 7:00AM (negotiable)

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

$75,000 - $275,000/annual salary + bonus + premium benefits  

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
