Your role at Clorox:

The National Account Manager (NAM) will lead strategic relationships with key national distributors and redistributors as part of the Clorox Professional National Account team, reporting directly to the designated National Account Team Leader.
This role is responsible for developing and executing Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned with the Business Unit strategy and annual objectives. The NAM will take full ownership of the customer strategy and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing all related sales, marketing, and product supply activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Additionally, the NAM will lead all customer-facing sales efforts, ensuring effective communication and execution of national account plans across the Clorox organization. This includes engaging key stakeholders, translating strategic plans into clear, actionable steps for regional sales teams and manufacturer representatives, and maintaining accountability for successful execution at the local level.

In this role, you will:

Customer Deliverables and Operational Responsibilities

  • Deliver the top line revenue target with assigned account.
  • Drive strategic joint business plans with each account as laid out in annual business plans.
  • Customer penetration at various levels with the account, as necessary to drive sales and influence Clorox agenda.
  • Manage trade funds associated with the account with no overspends.
  • Connect,  gather and manage resources cross functionally as needed to drive volume at the account.
  • Effectively communicate the execution plan for their respective accounts to the geographic team.

Business Planning and Strategy Development

  • Provide thought leadership back to the business on ways to grow sales through the redistribution channel within defined trade budgets.
  • Leverage customer sales rep relationships to identify new avenues to grow the Clorox Professional Business.
  • Manage federal and state/local selling efforts for assigned distributors and be able to educate and inform Clorox internal functions on the evolving government procurement landscape
  • Execute the annual business plan for the Division and support the Division’s Long Range Planning activities. Drive to a strategic intersection that drives mutual growth with Clorox and the account. Leverage the tools and data drive your business plans.
  • Translate annual business plan into customer / channel plans for the respective team to deliver on the Volume, NCS and trade spending commitments for the business scope covered which also align with National Account teams business plans. 
  • Ensure that your accounts have eCommerce Go-To-Market plans incorporated in their plans that appropriately utilizes eCommerce as a growth engine for our mutual business.

Drive the Annual Field Sales Business Plan - Deliver PPD Financial Targets

  • Own the annual National Account Planning process as defined by the GTM team and ensure that resulting volumes support the established PPD Financial Targets
  • The NAM’s  will ensure not only plan communication but also geographic team collaboration to enable successful execution.

  • Commercial Cleaning (janitorial/healthcare),  ecommerce, or omni channel customer selling experience required
  • Sales Planning and Marketing experience is beneficial

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $128,000 - $252,200

–Zone B: $117,400 - $231,200

–Zone C: $106,700 - $210,200

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
