We are now accepting applications for our remote, 10 week, paid Summer internship program on our Motion Design team.
Being a Motion Designer at Kettle means playing a pivotal role in shaping experiences that span across departments, bringing creativity, strategy, and innovation together to craft meaningful solutions. Our designers are not just creators—they are collaborators, storytellers, problem-solvers, and visionaries who drive impact through motion.
Our Motion Designers are experts in After Effects and Premiere, and have a mastery of timing and keyframes, translating static designs into dynamic animations. They develop motion systems for campaigns and product features by partnering closely with Designers to create engaging content and push user experiences forward, ensuring every piece of motion is polished and purposeful.
As our Motion Design Intern, you will create, animate, edit, and refine creative concepts in partnership with our visual, product, copy, and strategy teams.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate and work with design teams to create refined, engaging animations
- Implement existing motion concepts into new approaches
- Help maintain and implement style guides to ensure consistent experiences
- Help shape presentations to communicate concepts that tell a story
- Create animated prototypes and content in collaboration with creative teams
- Partner closely with creative leads to ensure work meets expectations
- Participate in internal creative reviews, and impromptu work sessions
- Co-create with other interns on a final Intern presentation based on a previous agency brief and present that work
What we’re looking for:
- Comfortable working in Adobe Creative Suite; specifically After Effects, Cinema4D and Premiere. Knowledge of Rive, Cavalry, Lottie, Blender a plus
- Confident presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication
- A portfolio or reel with samples of client and/or student work
- Familiarity with AI tools, and the ability to explain or demonstrate value gained through AI, and how you use it in your workflow
Requirements:
- You must be entering your senior year of undergraduate studies, a recent graduate, master's student, career changer, reentering the workforce, or switching careers
- You must be currently based in the U.S
- You must be able to work approximately 40 hours per week for the duration of the program
The salary range for this role is between $20 - $25 per hour based skill set, education level, location, and experience.
