The Module Advanced Development Signal Integrity Engineer is responsible for detailed signal integrity design, modeling and testing of high-speed electrical interconnections. The successful candidate
will work with PIC, ASIC, TROSA design and other cross functional teams to develop Nokia’s next generation high speed optoelectronic module products. The person should have hands-on experience with RF design and simulation tools as well as high speed RF test equipment and methodology. This position is within the Optical Modules Group and is preferably based in Allentown, PA; candidates based in Ottawa, Canada will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand and defi ne product requirements and plans
• Design complex RF structures for high-speed optoelectronic modules
• Develop test vehicles for evaluating performances
• Work with vendors and process team to get designs fabricated
• High speed measurements and data analysis
Requirements:
Requirements:
• M.S. (PhD desired) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
• experience with RF design and testing desired, expertise with optical transmitter and receiver modules for telecom desired.
• Industrial experience desired. Proven track record of taking products from early design and development, through initial builds and into volume manufacture
• Experience with RF design and simulation tools such as HFSS and ADS required
• Familiarity with high-speed RF test equipment and methods required, including VNA, TDR, electrical spectrum analyzer, electrical sampling oscilloscope, etc
• In-depth technical understanding of optoelectronic components & ASICs is a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas, concepts, and results to both highly technical and non-technical coworkers
• Ability to function independently as well as in a team environment. A positive attitude is essential.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis capabilities are required
