You will partner closely with our Mid-Market Sales Team to drive opportunities forward, deliver engaging product demonstrations, and shape deployments of our Grants Management solution.  We’re looking for candidates who combine technical expertise, business acumen, and a passion for creating meaningful change.

This is a full-time position that reports to the Director of Solutions Engineering.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Foster Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver holistic, scalable solutions
  • Own Pre-Sales Documentation & SOWs: Lead the creation of high-quality pre-sales documentation and Statements of Work that accurately scope projects and set customers up for success
  • Maintain Expert-Level Platform Knowledge: Become a true product expert — understanding how Submittable's solutions solve customer problems and deliver value, with a commitment to continuous self-learning
  • Inspire Action: Represent Submittable at conferences, webinars, and external engagements to highlight our mission and showcase the impact of our solutions
  • Build Domain Expertise: Develop and maintain knowledge of our markets, competitors, industry-wide challenges, and ongoing trends

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years in a solutions engineering, solutions consulting, technical sales, or implementation role in SaaS environments (business software, grants management, or similar), with a focus on customer impact.
  • Proficiency in web technologies and familiarity with APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms
  • Exceptional skills in presenting, writing, and explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience in competitive sales motions; familiarity with MEDDPICC or equivalent value-selling frameworks is a strong plus
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, fostering trust and partnership with customers and internal teams
  • A track record of thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • A self-starter ready to dive in on day one

Location: This is a remote, U.S.-based role and you must live and reside in the U.S. full-time.

Compensation: The annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position is $96,000 – $120,000 with a pay mix of approximately 80/20 (base/variable). Base salary range is $80,000 – $100,000, with a variable target of $16,000 – $20,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States; however, we cannot accommodate scholastic or employment visas at this time. In addition, we are not able to consider applicants who reside in the following states: Alaska, Delaware, Louisiana, Maine, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
