  • Heavy on AR module and Financial is involved by default
Is the role mostly for new development/customization or for support and maintenance of existing AX applications?
  • Support and maintenance.  System is very stable.  Mostly enhancements.
Are you on AX 2012, AX 2009, or already in the process of migrating to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365FO)?
  • SQL Server 2016 (on-prem version).

  • X++ is primary skill, all the above are objects.
Are there any third-party integrations or custom frameworks the developer will be working with (EDI, CRM, warehouse systems, APIs)?
  • Lots of other applications are tied into this.  Although the system is very stable, typically the issue comes from the other integrated Salesforce, homegrown systems, fulfillment.  Most are on file-based integrations, but a few service call integrations.
Will they be expected to work with Power Platform, Azure DevOps pipelines, or other Microsoft stack components?
  • Not required.  They are not part of the change request team.  AX deployments are a little different…if familiar these candidates will understand
Are there particular tools or methodologies your team uses (TFS/Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD, automated testing)?
  • NA
Are there upcoming major projects or upgrades (rollouts, multi-entity deployments, integrations) they’ll be responsible for?
