Role Summary

The Microsoft Account Executive is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth and fostering deeper partnerships with Microsoft. This role emphasizes aligning New Era Technology’s capabilities with the strategic priorities of these key partners to deliver exceptional value to clients. The Account Executive will focus on managing day-to-day activities such as funding, sponsorships, training, and certifications while cultivating executive alignments and sponsorships. Success in this role demands a proactive approach to pipeline management, sales forecasting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed revenue targets.


Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft’s account teams, fostering collaboration to create co-sell opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with Microsoft to secure funding and sponsorships for joint initiatives.
  • Drive alignment between Microsoft’s product portfolio and New Era Technology’s capabilities, ensuring a clear understanding of value propositions.

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans that address customer needs and align with New Era’s strategic goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Microsoft ecosystems.
  • Present tailored solutions to C-level decision-makers, demonstrating deep product knowledge and alignment with client objectives.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales quotas, managing an annual target

Pipeline and CRM Management

  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities and maintain detailed pipeline data in CRM systems.
  • Track and analyze sales metrics to refine strategies and ensure consistent progress toward goals.

Event and Sponsorship Collaboration

  • Partner with the Marketing team to identify and execute sponsorship opportunities at industry events.
  • Drive attendance and participation in targeted Microsoft events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

Training and Enablement

  • Promote and coordinate training and certification programs for New Era’s sales teams to deepen expertise in Microsoft products and solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest Microsoft offerings, ensuring effective positioning against competitors.

Executive Engagement

  • Foster executive-level relationships within Microsoft and key client accounts to secure sponsorships and strategic support.
  • Represent New Era Technology in high-level discussions, advocating for joint initiatives and long-term collaboration.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners and enterprise clients.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft ecosystems, including products, services, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Dynamics and/or ConnectWise).
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive, solution-based sales environment.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to dynamic business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in enterprise technology solutions.
  • Proven success in developing strategic partnerships and managing large, complex sales campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s product portfolios and partner ecosystems.
  • Experience in leveraging co-sell initiatives and managing joint marketing campaigns.

Work Environment and Travel Requirements

  • This is a remote position with regular travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight trips.
  • Attendance at trade shows, client meetings, and partner events is required as needed.

Compensation

Competitive compensation plan with a base salary range of $110,000 - $120,000 with a first year OTE range of $220,000 - $240,000
