Leads revenue quality, LTL pricing strategy, contract renewals, revenue forecasting, and pricing implementation initiatives. Manages staff, develops reporting and education programs, prepares executive presentations, and collaborates with Pricing, Sales, Operations, Costing, Measurement Reporting and Analysis, and Finance teams. Ensures contracts are renewed and priced appropriately, improves forecasting granularity and revenue performance metrics, and supports costing methodology enhancements.
This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Harrison, AR and Memphis, TN. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight Location several times per week.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for interacting and influencing FedEx Freight and FedEx Services Pricing, Sales and Revenue Forecasting leadership on a variety of matters including overall LTL pricing strategy and development of implementation plans; routinely interact with senior leadership across the afore-named FedEx Freight and FedEx Services functions as well as collaborate closely with the Costing, Measurement Reporting & Analysis (MRA), Operations, and Financial Planning teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Select, train, develop and motivate a staff of employees
- Develop holistic reporting to proactively identify upcoming contract reviews, decrease and monitor the number of past due contracts, and perform post implementation review of pricing actions
- Serve as primary FedEx Freight lead over the contractual renewal process, ensuring renewals are completed timely and appropriately priced; work with Pricing, when appropriate, to develop strategy; coordinate and participate on calls with Pricing, Sales, Operations and Finance as needed; prepare updates for executive leadership as required
- Develop education programs for FedEx Freight leadership and refine the current revenue forecasting process
- Develop presentations for Revenue Management Committee, Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meetings as they relate to various revenue quality and pricing initiatives
- Develop pricing education tools and review with leadership; actively participate in cross functional collaboration initiatives
- Collaborate with the FedEx Freight costing team to ensure that “ad-hoc” costs identified during contract renewals are reflected in the costing system; provide input on potential enhancements to costing methodology as needed
- Collaborate with MRA team to prepare weekly revenue forecasts; enhance the current process through more granular forecasting (selected customer detail, contract vs tariff, geographical, etc.)
- Continuously improve and collaborate to develop new capabilities around key revenue quality performance metrics
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus five (5) years’ experience in pricing and related analysis, business consulting, project management, and/or operations analysis/management
- Extensive pricing experience preferred and related analytic skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, perform at both a strategic and functional level and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience in LTL transportation and pricing preferred
- Proven leadership ability; comfortable working with all levels within the company
- Proven record of working jointly with others to produce results
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or financial support systems
- Strong communications skills to include presentation abilities
