Provide technical assistance to the Senior Designers/Project Managers/Team Leaders
Maintain Design files, including AutoCAD/Revit
Set up heating and cooling load calculation file (i.e. Carrier HAP) - inputs to be checked by senior staff
HVAC layout and drafting with minimal supervision
Ensure design checklist and technology standards are being followed
Coordinate equipment selections from vendors using Introba selection procedures with assistance provided by senior staff
Coordinate mechanical requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design team (i.e. Architects, Structural Consultants, Electrical Consultants, etc.) under supervision of senior staff
Provide construction administration services as directed and supervised by senior staff
Attend site surveys with senior staff and independently
Technical System description writing for things like Basis of Design documents
Cover external coordination meetings independently as needed
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Desired
Government, Healthcare, Education and/or Data Center experience desired
Minimum 5 years Revit experience (this could be a combination of academic & professional experience), coupled with 2 years design experience in HVAC
Ability to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings with minimal supervision provided by senior staff
Ability to apply prescriptive requirements of Energy Code with minimal supervision
Knowledge of energy modeling and calculations is desired
EIT classification is desired
