Mechanical Engineer II supports new product development in a speed-to-market telecom industry. The engineer reports to the Senior Engineer/Functional Manager or VP Executive Interference Product and works under the technical oversight of the Principal & Senior Mechanical Engineer. The engineer provides technical oversight for new products, from customer requirements through production, while considering the project's schedule, scope, and cost.

- Deliver design projects and provide direction on thermal, structural, manufacturability, functionality, and aesthetic considerations.
- Develop and evaluate solution concepts in collaboration with team members and other departments.
- Design 3D parts and assemblies using SolidWorks computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Draft 2D prints in accordance with ConcealFab standards using SolidWorks CAD software.
- Review drawings for structural requirements and form, fit, and function.
- Lead design reviews and technical presentations for both internal and external customers.
- Work with suppliers to resolve manufacturability issues and concerns.
- Recommend boundary conditions and simplifying assumptions for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis based on interpretation of applicable codes and standards.
- Perform FEA and CFD analysis, evaluate results, and produce reports with conclusions.
- Update or create process documentation as directed.
- Act as approving authority for simple supplier and internal non-conformances, and define rework parameters.
- Act as approving authority for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), defining the scope of resulting ECOs.
- Maintain and increase technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, online training courses, and completing relevant certifications.
- Apply knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF), PIM, thermal, and structural principles to new products.
- Apply design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) best practices.
- Ability to adapt to changes in requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Required: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
Preferred: 3 years of engineering-related experience
Pay: $63k – $85k depending on experience
