MDU & Development Sales Coordinator
Department: Sales
Location: Mesa County, CO to Ouray, CO (travel required throughout service area)
Reports to: Sales Director
Role Type: Full-Time, Individual Contributor
About the Role
The MDU & Development Sales Coordinator plays a key role in expanding highspeed internet service across new residential developments and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) communities. This position builds relationships with builders, developers, property owners, and HOAs; identifies new opportunities; and negotiates access and service agreements that drive subscriber growth and long-term revenue.
This is a highimpact role ideal for someone who excels at relationship building, opportunity discovery, commercial negotiation, and crossteam coordination. Once agreements are signed, the coordinator hands projects off to internal teams for construction and implementation.
What You’ll Do
1. Build and Grow Strategic Relationships
- Develop strong relationships with developers, builders, property owners, managers, and HOAs.
- Become a trusted partner and primary point of contact for new developments and MDU communities.
- Conduct onsite property visits and meetings within the service area.
2. Discover New Development & MDU Opportunities
- Identify upcoming residential developments, new MDUs, and redevelopment projects.
- Monitor local permitting activity, community planning, building activity, and industry contacts for early lead identification.
- Gather property details such as size, ownership, unit counts, and current provider information.
3. Negotiate Access & Service Agreements
Secure and negotiate agreements that enable fiber deployment and subscriber acquisition, including:
- Bulk service agreements (community-wide service billed to ownership/management)
- Exclusive marketing agreements (exclusive rights to market within the property)
- Preinstallation agreements (installing service infrastructure during construction)
- Trench access or exclusivity agreements for new-build subdivisions and MDUs
- Wholesale arrangements, when applicable
Note: Any non-standard agreements or financial incentives require management approval.
4. Coordinate MDU Sales Support (No Door-to-Door Required)
- Collaborate with Residential Sales to plan outreach in MDUs where partnerships are not feasible.
- Help secure permissions for community marketing, signage, events, and onsite promotional activities.
- Support property-specific marketing efforts in collaboration with the Marketing and Community Engagement teams.
5. Support Access Rights & Permissions (ROEs)
- Assist, when needed, in coordinating Right of Entry (ROE) agreements with property owners.
- Present agreements, gather signatures, and coordinate with internal teams as required.
6. Evaluate Opportunities & Ensure Strong Business Cases
- Assemble cost and revenue inputs for proposed agreements.
- Understand high-level construction needs, project cost considerations, and long-term profitability.
- Ensure opportunities submitted for approval are complete, accurate, and commercially sound.
7. Manage Your Sales Pipeline
- Track opportunities from discovery through signed agreement.
- Maintain accurate records, notes, and property details.
- Hand off executed agreements smoothly to internal construction and deployment teams.

- Growth of service penetration within targeted MDUs and developments
- Quality and quantity of new opportunities discovered
- Volume and success rate of executed agreements
- Economic viability and profitability of projects
- Added service passings and added monthly recurring revenue
- Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of handoffs to internal teams
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
- 3+ years in sales, business development, real estate, construction, telecommunications, or related fields.
- Experience building partnerships and negotiating commercial agreements.
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Communications, or similar field.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to evaluate business opportunities
- Organized and able to manage multiple longrunning opportunities
- Comfortable with field work and inperson meetings
- Familiarity with telecom, construction, or real estate development is a plus (but not required)
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Travel throughout the service area
- Ability to attend onsite meetings and events (no heavy lifting required)
