Remote (Contract-based or Part-Time)

Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented math content writer and reviewer to help fill instructional gaps in our middle and high school math curriculum. This project is specifically focused on aligning content to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, with an emphasis on clarity, rigor, and student engagement.

Responsibilities:
Analyze existing math lessons and assessments to identify gaps based on North Carolina standards
Write and revise lessons, practice sets, and assessments that are aligned to those standards
Review content from other writers for math accuracy, clear language, and strong pedagogy
Work with the curriculum team to ensure consistency in tone, structure, and instructional design
Use internal tools (Google Docs, Notion, LaTeX, etc.) to document and track progress

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Common Core and North Carolina math standards
  • At least 3 years of experience in math instruction, curriculum writing, or educational publishing
  • Proven ability to write clear, rigorous, and age-appropriate math content
  • Strong editing and quality-checking skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a remote team environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with interactive math tools like Desmos or GeoGebra
  • Familiarity with platforms used in North Carolina districts (e.g., Canvas, SchoolNet)
  • Comfort working across grades 9–12, especially upper-level Math
  • Success in this Role Means:

  • Materials are accurate, complete, and ready for classroom use
