Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for a Materials Management & Transportation Manager (K Level) to join the team located in Heath, OH.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Oversees warehouse activities which may include inventory management, chemical management, kitting & fulfillment, shipping, receiving.
  • Manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or materials management.
  • 3+ years of experience in a complex multi-functional manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams and team development
  • Experience in facilitating or helping to lead process improvement activities.
  • Ability to work alternative shifts as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience in lean processes and initiatives
  • Experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
  • Previous experience with Compass Contract (MRP) System and/or another MRP system

Shift:
This position will be expected to work 1st Shift on most occasions; however, assigned candidate may need to work other shifts as business conditions change
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $107,100 - 132,300 USD

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
