You will lead the creation of a unified approach to managing master data across key domains by developing enterprise standards, harmonizing critical data elements, and aligning stakeholders across business and technical teams. This role requires strategic thinking, deep subject matter expertise in MDM, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Program Ownership

  • Ensure MDM goals support broader enterprise data strategy and regulatory, operational, and analytical use cases.

Golden Record & Data Domain Modeling

  • Guide the creation and stewardship of the “golden record” for Customer Master, and extend frameworks to other key MDM domains.

  • Establish domain-specific logical data models and ensure harmonization of business-critical data elements across systems.

  • Partner with data engineering and architecture teams to support data integration, match/merge logic, and lineage traceability.

Business Engagement & Implementation

  • Work closely with leaders and SMEs in Sales, Finance, Marketing, GTM to gather business requirements, define business rules, and support process change.

  • Translate business needs into scalable MDM design specifications and collaborate on system implementation efforts.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on master data usage across ERP, CRM, and analytics platforms.

Data Governance, Quality & Stewardship

  • Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ensure alignment on data policies, classification, stewardship roles, and lifecycle management practices.

  • Drive adoption of data quality metrics, issue tracking, and automated remediation workflows across domains.

  • Enable and support domain-aligned data stewards through documentation, training, and stewardship forums.

Tooling & Platform Collaboration

  • Support the evaluation and implementation of MDM tools and platforms (e.g., Tamr, Informatica MDM, SAP MDG).

  • Recommend tooling enhancements to improve usability, traceability, data lineage, and self-service.

  • Monitor platform effectiveness through defined KPIs and stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical field.

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in master data management across multiple domains, with recent experience focused on Customer Master.

  • Strong understanding of MDM tools, platforms, and cloud-native integration patterns.

  • Proven experience developing MDM strategies, managing implementations, and engaging business stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and Marketing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing master data processes in ERP and CRM environments (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce).

  • Familiarity with data governance, data cataloging, metadata management, and regulatory data requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

  • DCAM, CDMP, or equivalent data governance certification is a plus.
