The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) integrated operating unit tirelessly strives to improve and save the lives of people around the world who are living with cardiac arrhythmias. Our industry leading portfolio is comprised of pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable cardiac monitors – all of which transmit data to programmers and patient device monitors. This data is then used to help clinicians make informed decisions about how to best treat patients over the lifetime of the device. The programmers, patient device monitors and the Carelink™ software combine to serve as the Patient Care Systems (PCS) portfolio.

We are hiring a passionate, fast-paced, and strategic Marketing Specialist to lead the creation and execution of marketing plans to effectively communicate the value of Medtronic’s Remote Monitor portfolio to patients, clinicians, and our field-based teams. The Senior Marketing Specialist will partner with PCS product managers and sales operations leaders to develop and implement tactics and programs designed to help increase healthcare professional (HCP) awareness, belief, and adoption of Medtronic Remote Monitoring technologies, ultimately improving the quality of life for patients implanted with a Medtronic device. 

A DAY IN THE LIFE

CRM Patient Remote Monitoring Product Marketing

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing and communications plans across multiple channels including promotional activities, digital media, campaigns, and sales initiatives to advance our value proposition and drive US adoption of CRM Patient Monitoring products and technologies
  • Articulate return on marketing investment of programs and tactics, tracking metrics and optimizing performance to reinforce the value of investment.
  • Act as a consultant for the Patient Care Systems Functional Unit to help guide decisions related to customer preferences, messaging, market needs, and broad-based patient monitoring business strategy.
  • Act as a point of expertise for information on the product, target market and competitors – gather competitive intel and execute campaigns drive Medtronic brand preference.
  • Develop KOL relationships, lead customer meetings, and gain physician input that can be used to build advocates and influence CRM remote monitoring strategy.
  • Support the development of programs to educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and Medtronic staff on product utilization. Support ongoing sales training and new hire training as needed.
  • Collaborate with global and regional partners to communicate marketing programs, launch timelines and expectations, and opportunities for best practice sharing.
  • Work with a patient-first mindset and advocate to address the unmet needs of patients and clinicians. You are energized by innovation and its impact on patient lives
  • Present to key members of the leadership team around marketing initiative status’, product launch metrics and opportunities for growth
  • Monitor adoption trends and make recommendations for deeper penetration by partnering with US business leaders.

MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in marketing in medical device or pharmaceutical industry or deep knowledge of those industries’ key audiences.  

NICE TO HAVE:

  • MBA
  • Communication Skills: excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience translating business objectives into effective marketing initiatives
  • Prioritization: Ability to balance a portfolio of products, working effectively with multiple product owners and driving multiple successful initiatives simultaneously.
  • Analytical Skills: strong ability to analyze complex data and market trends. Has good working knowledge of office suite software as excel, power point
  • Leadership Skills: proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Travel: willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for market visits, customer engagement, and internal meetings.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$78,400.00 - $117,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
