Job Title: Marketing Specialist (Events & Digital)

Work Location: Denver, CO

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Specialist (Events & Digital) to join our Marketing team of Professionals in Denver.

CLP has built a reputation as an innovative, reliable, and responsive private Utility Development Leader. We support the federal government, military institutions, municipalities, and major utilities across the US, with financing, design, engineering, construction, and ongoing operations and maintenance for electrical transmission and distribution systems, as well as outdoor street, sport, and other recreational lighting.

We're seeking someone who is ready to take the lead on coordinating our national event schedule and supporting our digital marketing presence across all companies under the CLP umbrella. The Marketing Specialist role is ideal for a creative, organized, and motivated Professional who loves connecting people and ideas-someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing & Brand Presence

  • Support digital marketing campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, and other platforms.
  • Assist with monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance using Google Analytics and related tools.
  • Update and maintain company websites (via WordPress) and coordinate with IT/development for larger updates.
  • Help maintain consistent messaging and visuals across all digital and print materials.
  • Create and edit engaging visuals, videos, and written content that highlight CLP’s projects, people, and impact.

Event Coordination & Management

  • Coordinate CLP’s full calendar of trade shows, conferences, and community events across the U.S.
  • Handle logistics, registrations, sponsorship deliverables, booth materials, and event communications.
  • Collaborate with internal leaders and partners to ensure successful and professional event execution.
  • Support internal company events such as employee appreciation gatherings, leadership meetings, and corporate celebrations.
  • Manage event swag, branded materials, and collateral inventory — ensuring timely replenishment and consistent quality.
  • Track event performance and feedback to help improve future planning.
  • Represent CLP at select events as needed.

Communications & Business Development Support

  • Assist with branded materials and messaging for proposals, presentations, and recruiting campaigns.
  • Support leadership with company announcements, press releases, and storytelling initiatives.
  • Contribute to projects that strengthen CLP’s national reputation and brand awareness.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field preferred.
  • Three to five (3–5) years of experience in marketing or communications (AEC, energy, or utilities industry a plus but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms especially LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Previous experience coordinating events from start to finish.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress (or similar CMS) and basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Should be comfortable working across teams and departments.
  • A proactive, “own it and run with it” mindset with curiosity and creativity.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for occasional travel to events and conferences.

Travel:

  • Occasional travel for industry conferences, trade shows, and company events.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel is required.

Benefits & Compensation:

  • We offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k with company contribution, paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Salary: $65,000-$75,000/year based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
    • We reserve the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range based on factors unrelated to sex.
