JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Planner will be responsible for ingesting insights from first and third-party research, analyzing marketing channel performance, and aligning these insights with business goals to formulate comprehensive plans and briefs for our creative and channel teams. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable marketing strategies.
The ideal candidate should have experience forming insights from data, writing and delivering creative briefs, ensuring deliverables are aligned to the brief strategy and intent and managing projects to established timelines. They should have strong confidence in providing clear and concise feedback and direction to peer teams working from their briefs.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
Work Experience
- 3–5 years planning and managing omni-channel marketing communications programs at an agency or within a marketing department
- Demonstrated experience in brief writing

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
- Strong comfort level collaborating with external research vendors as well as leveraging digital research platforms (i.e., Lookback, Recollective, UserTesting, Dovetail) and survey tools (i.e., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Typeform) to conduct qualitative and qualitative research initiatives including survey design, methodology selection and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and software such as Tableau, Salesforce, Google Analytics.
- Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Healthcare and/or multi-location retail experience is preferable

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Essential Functions
- Research and Analysis: In partnership with marketing leadership and Business Intelligence, gather and analyze insights from first-party (internal) and third-party (external) research sources to understand market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Develop a deep understanding of our health system partners, our markets, our target audiences, best practices across channels and programs, and share those learnings liberally with others.
- Performance Evaluation: In partnership with channel owners, monitor and evaluate the performance of various marketing channels (e.g., digital, social media, email, print) to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Develop marketing plans that align with business objectives, leveraging insights from research and channel performance data.
- Brief Creation: Formulate detailed briefs for creative and channel teams, ensuring that all marketing activities are cohesive and strategically aligned, rooted in data and insights.
- Testing: Serve as a key stakeholder in developing testing plans, surfacing test opportunities, and driving application of test results to ensure effective marketing strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, channels, partnerships, operations to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with various teams to manage resources, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
