1047 Games began with the simple principle that people should have fun while making great games. Bucking convention and driven by a passion to create the ultimate gaming experience, Ian Proulx and Nicholas Bagamian founded 1047 Games in 2017 in their Stanford dorm room. Their love for arena shooters of the past drove them to create Splitgate, a unique sci-fi first-person shooter that adds portal guns to upend the genre.

What started as two computer science majors putting portals into a first-person shooter for a project demo has evolved into a VC-backed company which has raised more than $120MM in funding.

At 1047 Games, you’ll find a permanently remote, dedicated team of top-tier talent from some of the world’s biggest gaming and tech companies who share our founders’ vision. Grit, ingenuity, a desire to have fun, and a start up mentality define our crew. We are currently working on Splitgate 2.

What We're Looking For:

  • An experienced growth marketing manager to plan and execute our paid marketing campaigns for the upcoming free-to-play first person shooter Splitgate 2.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Partnering with senior marketing and company leadership to develop high-level media planning allocations in a comprehensive user acquisition (UA) strategy.
  • Planning, launching, and optimizing paid marketing campaigns to drive awareness, installs, and reengagement.
  • Leveraging our CRM database and customer segmentation tooling to retain and retarget our player base through customized campaigns once Splitgate 2 is launched.
  • Monitoring and analyzing our key performance metrics for campaigns on a daily basis to optimize the efficiency and efficacy of our advertising spend.
  • Identifying ad creative needs (videos, static image assets, cutbacks, versions) and partnering with internal creative teams to source them in a timely manner, including a forward-looking calendar of anticipated creative assets.
  • Maintaining relationships with advertising publishers on the sell side to ensure we have the best features, audience insights, and commercial benefits to help Splitgate 2 grow.
  • Partnering with a media agency / external consultants on oversight of some portion of our overall paid media budget that you may not manage yourself.
  • Adhering to a monthly ad budget and adopting goals for user acquisition (volume of installs), reengagement (volume of returning players attributable to advertising), and efficiency (competitive costs per install and costs per action).

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of growth marketing experience at a video game publisher, ad agency, or major sell-side advertising publisher.
  • Recent, hands-on experience with Google, Meta, and/or TikTok biddable ad buying interfaces.
  • A passion for gaming, both as a marketer and a player.
  • Strong skillsets in data analysis and real-time optimization.
  • Copywriting proficiency (for ad descriptions, calls to action, etc.)
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional organization with fully remote teams across time zones.

Pluses:

  • Experience with PC/console game growth marketing (i.e., Steam, PlayStation, Xbox) and attribution technology (e.g., Gamesight)
  • Experience executing paid campaigns in ex-US markets, including familiarity with content localization processes and an understanding of basic market-specific cultural preferences across geographies like Germany, Japan, and Brazil.
  • Familiarity with Splitgate or other PC/console shooters (Halo, Fortnite, Apex, etc.)

Geographic location is a determining factor in compensation
