The Opportunity

The Marketing Manager, Content & Communications will lead the strategic development, management, and implementation of Campspot’s lead generating content, industry communications and partnership outreach across the customer lifecycle. 


Goals of this role include increasing awareness of and engagement with the brand, defining Campspot’s position as a thought leader in the outdoor hospitality industry and driving results tied to the overall business’ lead generation & revenue goals. 


The Marketing Manager, Content & Communications role has regular collaboration with members of the marketing, sales, product, implementation and customer services teams to deliver impactful integrated marketing campaigns and full funnel content designed around the customer lifecycle and needs of our ICP.


This role requires a strong understanding of SaaS best practices across our content-centric channels including organic search, AI answer engines like ChatGPT & Gemini, organic social, industry publications and other customer-facing touch points. Success in this role will include serving as a connective tissue not only across marketing, but across various aspects of the organization, drive alignment, information sharing and championing the success and longevity of the Campspot brand.


What You'll Do:

Be the Owner of All Things Content

  • Take on the development of integrated marketing programs (from brief to post launch analysis) with internal and external partners for new and existing product features and heritage brand initiatives 
  • Lead the development of internal content that supports pre-sale, post-sale, product-led initiatives, and the overall marketing calendar and strategy 
  • Champion the design and implementation of programs and campaigns with internal stakeholders to hit delivery targets and primary revenue KPIs to support SEO growth and effectiveness
  • Support the GTM team process and customer facing content and collateral needs (eg, enablement materials, customer stories, demand gen content, etc.)
  • Craft and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy to build brand awareness, perception of excellence, and product consideration, to be leveraged largely across integrated and brand campaigns
  • Manage a small team of contract writers and designers to write / create content according to the plan with relevant CTAs and placement relative to the audience.
  • Execute campaigns via email communications (HubSpot / Gmail) and in partnership with community manager (organic channels) and performance marketing manager (paid channels)


Champion the Campspot Brand

  • Keep the Campspot brand constantly evolving, relevant, and impactful. Leverage brand development best practices and regular validation practices (eg: user studies, surveys, market research, etc.) to ensure continued relevance with our target audience and evolving ICPs.
  • Work closely with members of the marketing team and cross-functional partners (eg, product and post-sales) to seamlessly execute brand campaigns and brand marketing projects from start to finish-streamlining processes and helping with long-term planning 
  • Steward internal and external adoption and usage of up to date brand logos, colors, fonts, and guidelines

 

Enhance our Industry Position through Publications & Relationships

  • Build relationships with our industry partners and uncover new avenues for Campspot to be recognized as a key thought leader in the space and the source of business-driving data in the outdoor hospitality industry. 
  • Present new opportunities for Campspot to showcase our data rich analysis and unique offering of revenue driving tactics for campgrounds.
  • Develop opportunities for Campspot to showcase internal happenings on a larger scale (ie: Key Product Releases or milestones)


Serve as Internal Product Ambassador

  • Drives effective communication of key product and marketing strategies across the portfolio to ensure that our product positioning and objectives are well defined and deliver a consistent brand message
  • Partner with insights and analytics teams to ensure seasonal campaign strategy aligns with product offerings (new & existing highlights) and effectively reaches and engages the most effective target customers
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of the campground industry, category, competition, and trends and transforms these into insights and opportunities to grow the Campspot brand and reputation
  • Constantly have a pulse on marketing trends across industries, with a specific pulse on digital native brands

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of content marketing or editorial experience, ideally in B2B SaaS environments
  • A portfolio that showcases a wide range of content types specific to lead generation
  • Hands-on experience managing a team of contracted writers & designers
  • Understanding of lead generation, the marketing funnel, and channel attribution
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of content’s impact on SEO / AEO and delivering pieces that drive results
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Experience with CRM (Hubspot) a strong plus
  • Experience in the travel/hospitality industry is a plus


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Total compensation for this role is anticipated to be in the following range: $80,000-$100,000
