Join our mission as our next Marketing Manager, Automation is responsible for leveraging marketing automation tools and technologies to create, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns. The role enhances lead generation, nurturing, and conversion; represents and supports North America new product development by bringing Voice of Customer into the development process; aligns with Global Marketing on product lifecycle strategy; builds compelling portfolio positioning and messaging; and leads cross-functional commercialization of automation solutions and services. The role also supports business planning, market analysis, forecasting, operating reviews, service-related marketing, and customer and field engagement.
The Responsibilities
Develop and execute Automation marketing strategies, plans, and playbooks aligned with North America commercial objectives to drive revenue growth, customer retention, customer adoption, lead generation, system placements, and competitive differentiation.
Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing initiatives and campaigns that promote Automation and associated service offerings, increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support pipeline growth and funnel conversion.
Develop and maintain customer-facing and internal value propositions, positioning, messaging, collateral, and promotional tools to ensure consistent, differentiated communication and effective commercialization of Automation solutions.
Partner closely with Sales, Field Service, Learning & Development, and Business Unit and Channel Marketing to support customer acquisition, implementation, onboarding, training, and customer success while ensuring commercial teams achieve required product knowledge and capability levels.
Identify customer segments, unmet needs, market opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging healthcare trends through market research, Voice of Customer (VoC), customer engagement, and business analysis to inform growth strategies, product development priorities, and business case development.
Collaborate across regional and global cross-functional teams to align strategy, campaigns, messaging, tools, training, and commercialization efforts while effectively communicating business priorities and market insights to key stakeholders.
Manage field marketing initiatives and commercial support activities, including sales enablement programs, Salesforce.com target management, funnel growth and pull-through activities, customer events, trade shows, and annual sales meetings.
Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators, Salesforce metrics, forecasting measures, and ROI analyses to evaluate program effectiveness, optimize investments, and support monthly and quarterly operating reviews.
Provide ongoing market intelligence and customer insights to improve commercial effectiveness, operational performance, customer experience, and understanding of customer buying behaviors while ensuring current and future solutions deliver compelling value for customers and the company.
Ensure all marketing programs, communications, and materials comply with corporate branding standards, legal requirements, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
Lead or participate in strategic business development and targeted market development initiatives that support long-term growth objectives and other responsibilities as assigned.
Required:
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or 10 years of equivalent experience in Sales or Marketing within the industry.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of healthcare or medical device experience in a commercial organization.
Position requires strong balance of leadership, interpersonal and conceptual skills resulting from education and work experience.
Strong communication, presentation, and analytic skills.
Proven experience translating complex technology into simple marketing messages.

Preferred:
Experience in Diagnostics and/or Automation Marketing preferred.
Proven hardware and software technical experience, including automation, clinical laboratory instrumentation, middleware, and LIS systems preferred.
In-depth knowledge of hospital laboratory operations and understanding of our customers and the products is a plus
Interacts with all levels of employees. Partnership with Sales, Global Marketing, Learning and Development, Service, Technical, Customer Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Sales Enablement, and Commercial Excellence.
The Work EnvironmentHybrid office environment. Must have the discipline, organization skills, and self-motivation to work autonomously and collectively with internal team members that are office or remotely based. Travel up to 20% including airplane, automobile, or train. Some overnight travel is required. Some global travel required.
The Physical DemandsNo strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.
Salary TransparencyThe salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $117,714.29 USD to $155,000 USD and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
