QED (https://qed.ai) is a tech company focused on public health and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. We build the digital infrastructure and AI used at the intersection of aid and scientific inquiry, including surveillance of HIV and malaria, and nutrient analysis of crops and soils, working at national-scale in several African countries. Our funding comes from multiple philanthropic and governmental organizations, including the Global Fund, Gates Foundation, CDC, and USAID.
We are looking for a marketing director to direct viral marketing campaigns for QED over the web, social media, and news outlets
Basic Requirements
Top-notch skills in oral, written, and visual communication
+5 years of experience in direction of marketing content and online media strategy
Proven track record of elevating online profiles and unique views, with numbers to prove it
Piercing sense of visual aesthetics and wordsmithery with razor-sharp precision
Passion for technology
Highly preferred full-time employment of at least 40 hours per week. Promising students with exceptional skills should contribute at least 24 hrs/week.
Good fluency in English speaking and writing (typing > 35 wpm).
Critical thinking skills, expressiveness, and team-oriented attitude.

Domain expertise in medicine and public health, or agriclture
Strong knowledge of Africa and the needs in international development
