About Better Together Agency

Better Together Agency is a Black woman-founded, AI-forward communications agency (people-focused) creating integrated campaigns for mission-driven work. We combine strategic storytelling with human-first and future-focused AI integration to advance equity and create messages that move audiences toward change.

The Role

We're looking for a Marketing Consultant to lead a strategic education-focused account. You'll serve as the primary point of contact, managing project execution, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring brand consistency across all deliverables. This role requires someone who can lead with confidence, review creative work with a sharp eye, and keep campaigns moving forward across paid, earned, owned, and social channels.

You don't need to be a designer or brand expert, but you must know how to review, approve, and elevate work. You'll partner closely with our Founder and CEO while owning day-to-day account leadership, timelines, and quality control.

What You'll Do
  • Lead account strategy, communication, and delivery for a values-led education organization

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across integrated campaigns

  • Coordinate with designers, writers, social media strategists, and external partners

  • Review marketing materials for brand alignment, messaging consistency, and quality

  • Guide campaign execution across paid, earned, owned, and social media channels

  • Flag risks early, adjust timelines as needed, and keep work on track

  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Notion, or similar) to streamline workflows and support project management

  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and client stakeholders

What You Bring
  • 6–8 years in account management, project management, or client services at a communications or PR agency (agency experience required)

  • Experience managing integrated campaigns across paid, earned, owned, and social channels

  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities

  • Clear, confident communicator who can translate client needs into actionable plans

  • Experience reviewing and approving creative work (design, copy, social content)

  • Basic understanding of AI tools and willingness to use them as part of daily workflows

  • Background in values-led organizations, education, social impact, advocacy, tech, or health communications strongly preferred

  • Comfortable with tools like Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, and project management platforms

Compensation
  • Hourly rate: $40–60/hour (based on experience)

  • Hours: Minimum 10 hours/week, flexible schedule

  • Location: Remote work based in the United States

Who Should Apply

We strongly encourage candidates who are LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodiverse, disabled, from rural communities, or historically excluded from our industry. We look out for each other and want our team to reflect the communities we serve.

Better Together Agency is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, or any other protected class is prohibited. Reasonable accommodations for disability or religious needs are available upon request.
