We’re a small creative team of video game developers focused on creating kind, collaborative, and imaginative games. We formed in late 2019 with the desire to assemble the best and brightest in the industry to work on carefully selected projects that we deem innovative and challenging.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Consultant or Agency to help us assess and improve long-tail sales performance for a premium game that has been live for several years. This person will work closely with our internal team to identify opportunities across positioning, storefront performance, pricing strategy, visibility, seasonal beats, and other marketing levers that can meaningfully increase sustained revenue over time.
This is a contract role with flexible hours. Remote is welcome.
ResponsibilitiesYour primary responsibility will be to evaluate our current marketing and commercial performance and deliver a clear plan to increase long-tail sales. This will include:

Audit our current marketing efforts, storefront presence, and performance across platforms (Steam, console, etc.)

Review key sales data and identify trends, drop-off points, and growth opportunities
-
Evaluate our current pricing, discounting, bundling, and promotional cadence

Assess our game’s positioning, messaging, and competitive landscape
-
Identify opportunities for improving store conversion (capsules, trailers, screenshots, tags, descriptions, reviews, etc.)

Recommend strategies for driving sustained visibility (seasonal events, updates, influencer beats, partnerships, etc.)

Provide actionable recommendations for improving long-tail discoverability through SEO and platform algorithms

Deliver a written strategy report and roadmap with prioritized recommendations

Present findings to the team and support implementation planning as needed

Proven experience improving long-tail sales for games or premium digital products
-
Strong understanding of game marketing across at least one major platform (Steam preferred, but console/mobile experience is also valuable)

Ability to analyze sales and performance data and translate it into clear marketing actions

Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings to a small cross-functional team

Experience developing actionable go-to-market, relaunch, or lifecycle marketing strategies

Familiarity with paid and organic marketing channels (store features, newsletters, social media, creators, PR, etc.)

Direct experience with Steam store optimization and visibility systems

Experience running or advising discount strategy, bundles, and seasonal promotion planning

Familiarity with influencer/creator outreach strategy for indie or mid-sized titles
-
Experience with platform relationship management (Valve, Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Apple, etc.)
Experience creating campaigns/strategies within IP stakeholder requirements and approvals

Knowledge of UA, attribution, or paid campaign optimization (even if not the primary focus)

Experience with live game content beats and reactivation strategies
