Purpose 

Reporting to the Customer Engagement Lead and working as a core member of the Customer Engagement Chapter, the Marketing Associate plays a critical role in bringing Disease Area strategies to life through flawless execution and customer-centric activation.

In this role, you act as a key contributor to the affiliate execution engine, ensuring that omnichannel customer engagement activities and campaigns are delivered with excellence and aligned to Disease Area priorities.

Working closely with Squad Leads, Patient Journey Partners and the Africa Customer Experience & Insights (CXI) Network Squad, you help transform customer insights into meaningful actions and ensure that engagement activities are delivered consistently, effectively and in alignment with affiliate ambitions.

Acting as a vital enabler of Disease Area ambition, the Marketing Associate complements the Squad Lead by ensuring high-quality execution, operational excellence and field readiness. Ultimately, you contribute to delivering "Triple Win" outcomes by helping create meaningful value for patients, healthcare professionals, healthcare systems and Roche.

The Position 

The Marketing Associate is responsible for coordinating customer engagement activities and supporting the activation of Disease Area priorities across channels and customer touchpoints.

Working closely with Patient Journey Partners, Squad Leads and the Africa CXI Network, you help ensure that customer engagement strategies are translated into high-quality execution and consistently delivered experiences.

The role focuses on execution excellence, campaign activation, field readiness and continuous improvement, helping strengthen customer engagement effectiveness and business outcomes across priority Disease Areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execution Excellence

  • Coordinate and execute customer engagement activities, campaigns and marketing initiatives aligned to Disease Area priorities.

  • Support implementation of omnichannel engagement plans across physical and digital channels.

  • Manage execution timelines, deliverables and key milestones to ensure high-quality delivery.

  • Maintain execution discipline and ensure activities are delivered in accordance with agreed plans, standards and compliance requirements.

  • Drive operational excellence through proactive coordination of stakeholders, agencies and vendors.

  • It effectively utilizes Roche's commercial and customer engagement technology ecosystem (e.g., OCE-P, OCE-D, CES, DA Sense, etc.) to support planning, execution, customer engagement, insight generation and continuous improvement.

  • Leverage approved AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve content adaptation, campaign execution, operational efficiency and customer engagement effectiveness.
     

2. Campaign & Content Activation
 

  • Coordinate deployment and localization of approved content and campaign materials.

  • Support activation of customer journeys across multiple channels and touchpoints.

  • Ensure consistency of messaging and customer experience across all engagement activities.

  • Support congresses, webinars, customer events and other engagement initiatives.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective campaign execution.
     

3. Field Readiness & Engagement Support
 

  • Enable Patient Journey Partners and customer-facing teams with the tools, materials and resources required for successful execution.

  • Support training sessions, campaign briefings and launch readiness activities.

  • Help ensure customer-facing teams are aligned on campaign objectives, key messages and engagement approaches.

  • Act as a connector between strategy, content and field execution.
     

4. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Track execution progress and campaign performance indicators.

  • Gather customer feedback, field observations and execution insights.

  • Identify executional barriers and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support test-and-learn approaches and contribute to optimization recommendations.

  • Share learnings, execution insights and local market perspectives with Squad Leads and the Africa CXI Network.

  • Leverage regional frameworks, tools and best practices to continuously improve execution quality and customer engagement effectiveness.

Who You Are

  • You have an undergraduate degree (Marketing, Business, Scientific, or equivalent).

  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, product management, or digital marketing (Pharma experience is highly desirable).

  • You have proven experience in project management, managing external agencies, and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.

  • You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently while collaborating effectively in a team setting.

  • You have solid digital literacy with an understanding of how to leverage digital channels to engage healthcare professionals and patients.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to internal teams.

  • You are fluent in French and English to collaborate within the broader Roche enterprise
