The opportunity

The Market Research and Insights Analyst uses research and analysis to help university leaders understand what is changing in higher education, why it matters, and what we should pay attention to next. As part of the Marketing Insights and Analytics team, you will explore internal and external data, secondary research, competitive intelligence, and market signals to uncover meaningful trends and emerging questions.

Working closely with the Director of Marketing Insights and Analytics, you will turn complex information into clear points of view, compelling visualizations, and executive-ready presentations. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys following evidence, discovering unexpected patterns, asking "why," and communicating the story behind the data—not simply producing reports. #LI-Remote

What you'll do:

Market Research

  • Investigate latest trends, competitive developments, learner behavior, program demand, and other topics shaping U.S. higher education.
  • Monitor and review industry literature and research publications, and maintain a system to curate publications, competitive intelligence, and internal research/reports.
  • Create landscape summaries of topics relevant to higher education and update with new data and insights on an ongoing basis.
  • Use third-party platforms and public datasets to investigate markets, programs, populations, competitors, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and other teams to investigate new programs, markets, audiences, and strategic questions, including providing data support for program portfolio reviews and new program proposals.
  • Conduct deep-dive ad hoc research on market and competitive trends.

Analysis and Insights Development

  • Build, maintain, and update data models and reports of external data sources (e.g., IPEDS), using tools such as Microsoft Fabric/PowerBI.
  • Use existing data models and reports to monitor and summarize internal performance trends across products, segments, and demographics.
  • Enhance reports and dashboards according to feedback, insights, and institutional goals.
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve and anticipate feedback on analytic projects and tools.
  • Present analysis findings to diverse audiences in multiple formats.
  • Use project management software to keep track of multiple priorities and projects.
  • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ Years of professional experience in market research
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics or similar field
  • Experience analyzing information, developing meaningful insights, and communicating findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Familiarity with US higher education industry terms and data sources
  • Can build and update models and reports in Fabric/PowerBI including intermediate proficiency with DAX and PowerQuery
  • Proficiency in Excel with the ability to perform lookups and mathematical formulas.
  • Experience developing and delivering PowerPoint presentations to a wide variety of audiences from executives to individual contributors.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Outlook, and project management software.
  • Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and validation of data
  • Can responsibly leverage Artificial Intelligence for workflows, summarization, and analysis.

We believe real innovation comes from inclusion - where different experiences, perspectives and talents are celebrated. So if you're wondering whether SNHU is right for you, take the leap and apply. You might be just the person we're looking for.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $64,283.00 - $102,872.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $71,033.00 - $96,103.00.
