Position Summary
The Market Manager is responsible for facilitating and achieving sales productivity, sound operations, leadership goals and service excellence within their respective market, executing needs-based sales of all company products and services. The position is also responsible for coaching and mentoring Banking Center Managers and Branch associates to achieve these goals through the promise of Service Excellence. This role reports to the Regional Manager.Duties & ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Relationship Management
- Develop and support a strong needs-based sales environment by observing sales staff and providing feedback, modeling correct behavior and individual coaching sessions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and promote bank’s brand and services within the market
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement market-level strategies to grow deposits, loans, and customer base.
- Assist with the development and execution of goals and plans of action consistent with bank’s overall objectives
Branch Oversight
- Supervise BCMs and branch staff and ensure consistent performance across all locations in market to meet or exceed Sales and Service goals.
- Require daily travel to branch locations to support huddles, branch meetings, coaching, business development and networking events
- Monitor Branch Operations for compliance, efficiency and service standards.
- Resolve escalated issues, monitor customer feedback and ensure branch staff is trained in customer service excellence.
- Ensure all branches comply with banking regulations and internal policies.
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate staffing plans for their respective banking centers ensuring appropriate coverage in order to achieve sales and service expectations.

- Leveraging service support, identify and implement training for consistent execution
Knowledge of:
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Interviewing and coaching techniques to help identify and develop talent
Ability to:
- Make independent decisions regarding service center operations for which there are not always precedents
- Analyze and solve problems that are of a complex nature
- Originate new procedures and approaches to problems when necessary
- Perform duties under frequent time pressures
- Travel daily between branches to support branch operations and sales.
Education and Training:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree; Business or related degree.
- Requires 5 or more years of related banking experience.
- Pursuant to the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (“SAFE Act”), all Market Managers (if lending) are required to maintain current registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (“NMLS”). If such registration is not active as of the hire date, the Market Manager must immediately attain active registration upon employment. Market Managers who fail to maintain an active and current registration will be unable to lend and may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Benefits and Compensation
Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
(Base Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000/year)
