About This Job
Axos is seeking a Market & Credit Risk Specialist who will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, monitoring and mitigating market and credit risk of client and IBD accounts held at the clearing firm. In this role you will interface with all correspondents to monitor and mitigate risks associated with each correspondents type of business. Additionally you will assist in the development of financial risk management tools and practices to analyze and report on financial market risks and to manage risks according to a financial risk management framework and relevant policies. Follow the Company's financial risk management policies, limits, and strategies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and strategic imperatives of the organization.Responsibilities:Analyze market trends and credit risk data
Prepare and maintain risk management documentation, risk policies and risk reports
Prepare reports on market and credit risk exposure
Collaborates with senior analysts to identify potential risks and
recommends risk mitigation strategiesDevelop and maintain risk models and reports
Contribute to the creation and refinement of policies and procedures that enhance the firm's risk management framework
Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to evaluate risk exposures
Ensure that all risk management activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
Work cross-functionally with departments such as trading, compliance, and operations to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management
Engage in special projects aimed at improving risk management processes and systems
Bachelor's degree preferably in accounting, economics or finance, or equivalent experience
2-5 years of experience in the in the financial services or brokerage industry
2-5 years of experience in risk management within the financial services or brokerage industry
Knowledge of the brokerage and clearing business with experience in fiinancial market risk management and other regulatory issues
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work independently, sound decision-making abilities and strong oral and written communication and human relations skills
An understanding of risk management systems, spreadsheet and relational database software
FINRA licenses 7, 63, and 24 highly preferred
