We're looking for a Recruiter with deep expertise in manufacturing recruiting to help us build the teams that will power our next generation of vehicles, platforms, and digital experiences. You'll work closely with senior leaders to shape hiring strategies, deliver exceptional candidate experiences, and drive results in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
As a senior level recruiter, you will operate in a more complex and ambiguous portfolio, using strong judgment to shape approaches, guide stakeholders, and influence outcomes beyond day-to-day execution. You will more often serve as the recruiting partner to hiring managers and senior leaders, helping to shape hiring decisions-not just execute them.

  • Leverage data-driven strategies to build hourly and Skilled Trade candidate pipelines, ensuring alignment with hiring plans. May also support salaried hiring needs as required
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience by optimizing interview processes, enhancing engagement strategies, and streamlining onboarding
  • Build relationships with Manufacturing & CCA HR to collaboratively build successful hiring strategies to include marketing campaigns utilizing social media
  • As the subject matter expert, work with assigned functional area's Human Resource/Labor Relation's professionals and hiring leaders to develop desired recruiting strategies, source and screen qualified internal and external candidates, and professionally onboard new employees
  • Attend appropriate HR and business function staff meetings and provide Recruiting updates
  • Continuously refine recruiting plans, processes, and tools to drive improvement
  • Assist hiring leaders in developing appropriate job descriptions that will attract a well-defined candidate pool
  • Understand the external factors that impact the supply of top talent, GM's bold position, salary level structure, candidate supply, and candidate requirements for various job categories
  • Train hiring leaders in the interviewing and onboarding processes
  • Communicate with HR and hiring leaders on candidate and new employee needs throughout the interviewing and onboarding process
  • Partner with Talent Insights and Recruitment Marketing to meet performance metrics

Your Required Skills and Abilities:
  • 5+ years' experience in full lifecycle high-volume recruiting
  • 4+ years' experience building cross functional relationships to drive hiring strategies
  • 4+ years' experience in customer service related positions
  • Ability to drive strategic hiring decisions, embrace calculated risk-taking, and champion data-backed recruiting innovations
  • Proven ability to take initiative, solve complex hiring challenges, and communicate effectively across all levels
  • Demonstrated experience operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and adjusting recruiting strategies as business needs and market conditions evolve
  • Proven ability to serve as a thought partner to hiring managers and senior leaders, influencing hiring decisions and resolving stakeholder alignment challenges
  • Experience using sound judgment to balance speed, quality, and candidate experience, including making recommendations on when and how to pivot search strategies
  • Domestic travel to manufacturing sites of up to 50%

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge:
  • Experience recruiting Controls, Industrial and Automation Engineering skill-sets
  • Experience within a Collective Bargaining Agreement environment
  • Experience with Workday and CRM tools
  • Experience leading or contributing to projects that improve recruiting processes, tools, or team capability beyond your own requisitions
