Job Description SummaryGE HealthCare is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Process Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing operations within the Coils value streams. This role is responsible for maintaining existing processes, implementing new manufacturing solutions, driving continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical capabilities, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and waste elimination.

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize workflows and eliminate non‑value‑added activities.

  • Conduct designed experiments (DOE) and analyze data to validate processes and drive improvements.

New Process & Product Introduction

  • Design and implement new production processes, tools, and fixtures to support new product introduction (NPI).

  • Lead process qualification and compliance activities for new or modified processes.

  • Collaborate with design engineering teams to translate product requirements into manufacturing solutions.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Program, debug, and troubleshoot automated test equipment and instrumentation.

  • Perform electrical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues related to materials, components, test systems, and manufacturing equipment.

  • Conduct RF diagnostics and instrumentation measurements as needed.

Process Control & Documentation

  • Develop and implement process control techniques to maintain capability, stability, and product conformance.

  • Create and maintain required QMS documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, validation reports, and risk assessments.

  • Prepare clear, data‑driven technical reports and present findings to leadership and stakeholders.

Training & Leadership

  • Provide training, guidance, and technical support to production staff on new processes, test systems, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, process engineering, quality engineering, or product development (internships and co‑ops acceptable for entry level).

  • Proficiency in computer programming and troubleshooting automated test equipment and instrumentation.

  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and test plans.

Desired Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

  • Lean Manufacturing

  • Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt

  • Other relevant process or quality certifications

  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

  • Knowledge of RF diagnostics, instrumentation, and measurement systems.

  • Understanding of AI tools for test, inspection and documentation

  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and data‑driven approach.

  • Creativity and innovative thinking when developing manufacturing solutions.

  • Effective leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
