The F/A-18 Service Life Modification (SLM) team in San Antonio, TX is currently experiencing rapid growth, with new capability incorporation into the modification line and a substantial increase of aircraft inductions over the next several years. The selected candidate will be a key addition to the SLM Program and will lead important elements of the program to include the Standard Repair Manual (SRM) and the Service Life Assessment Program (SLAP) and Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) efforts. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing planning, project management, and can effectively lead and/or influence cross-functional teams to deliver on commitments.
This position is for 1st shift with a start times at either 6:00am or 9:30am CT.

Position Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and implementation of production methodologies.
- Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.
- Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
- Assists in creating and implementing manufacturing plans.
- Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
- Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge, and experience
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Prior experience in post-production systems with emphasis in military aircraft sustainment, repairs, and modification programs
- Strong functional understanding of Production Planning (PP), Production Scheduling (PS), and Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
- 2+ years of experience with aircraft retrofit
- 1+ years of work-related experience and an Associate's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- Prior experience with the F/A-18 platform
- Prior experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) environment
- Bachelor's Degree in technical field preferred but not required
