Role Overview
As a Manual QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our fintech platform. You will work closely with engineers, product and business analyst’s teams to understand requirements, create test plans, execute test cases, and ensure all features meet high quality standards before release.
Key Responsibilities
- Review product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand use cases and acceptance criteria
- Design, maintain, and execute detailed manual test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and work with developers to resolve them
- Perform end-to-end testing of workflows, including user interfaces, APIs, and third-party integrations
- Validate data accuracy across systems, particularly in financial and transaction flows
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA retrospectives as part of the Agile development cycle
- Help maintain QA documentation, including test plans, testing procedures, and release checklists
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in a fintech or highly regulated environment
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience testing web and mobile applications
- Familiarity with REST APIs and tools like Postman for manual API testing
- Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Hands-on experience using AI tools within the testing lifecycle, generating test cases and test data, authoring or maintaining automated tests, and analyzing failures with sound judgment about validating AI output

- Exposure to cross-border payments or banking systems
- Familiarity with compliance testing (KYC, AML, etc.)
- Interest in learning test automation over time
